Ryan thinks Paul in this hat is the cutest thing he's ever seen. It's up there for me too.

The configuration in the living room has changed since this photo was taken.  Once he sets his sights on what he wants, he goes for it. I'm sure I'll be thankful for the quality one day...

Boston Museum of Fine Arts

Ryan knows me well. He took me to the Boston Museum of Fine Art for Valentine's Day. We all had a wonderful time, and Paul was exceptionally good for a 10 month old. No crying, minimal wiggling and lots of babbling; the acoustics in there are great.

Nice Hair, Part 2

I admit, this didn't happen by itself like the last time. Although I claim no responsibility. Ryan figured out that cereal residue and drool make a powerful hair gel.

Catch Up

Well, with school, Paul and the all-important knitting and spinning I have been lax about taking and posting the photos. Maybe I should change the name of the blog... Anyhow, here are some of the photos I've taken in the past few days. I'll try to get a video up pretty soon of him walking around.

Megan, Paul's nanny, used to run a daycare from her home and brought a fun crawl-through toy for Paul to use. He and I were playing with it today and he really enjoys it.

Gerber

I swear Paul could be in commercials. Man he's cute.

Not the First, Not the Last

Mess, I mean. Paul has some Gerber biscuits and they can be very, very messy. I suppose older children just chomp into them and eat them, but he chews and chews and chews on them. 

Squirrel, Part II

The squirrel returned today. I let him munch away and store the bird seed to his little heart's content because, DANG it's cold out! He doesn't seem to visit very often, and he's not eating up all the seed. As long as there's plenty left for the birds, I don't mind. Paul and Seamus seem to really enjoy his visits too.

Ryan has set up the fishtank for freshwater fish. Paul digs it.

Snowy Day

I thought the following two pictures captured both Paul and the weather we're having pretty well. Also, on a side note: yes, he is wearing the same pajamas he was wearing yesterday.

This gift of alphabet blocks ended up being three super entertaining toys in one: Paul loves to play with the blocks and the cardboard box, and Seamus likes to play in the box too. These guys have a lot in common.

Taking a Stand

Paul has been balancing a lot. On Monday he stood for about 5 seconds by himself. On Wednesday he took a step-and-a-half from one chair to another. He's gradually been getting better and better, and today he stood on his own long enough for me to get four pictures. The flash on my camera flickers a few times before the photo is taken, so I'd estimate that he was standing on his own for about 30 or 45 seconds.

Squirrel

The bird feeder on our balcony illicits a lot of chattering from Seamus, but this morning I could tell something was different about it. When I looked, both Paul and Seamus were watching a squirrel out on the balcony. It was pretty cute to see Paul take an interest.

Friends

Paul was petting Seamus through the cage bars, oops! I mean gate... It seems that Seamus is getting more comfortable around Paul and Paul is certainly using a more gentle touch.

Baby Einstein

Genetics

Paul gravitates toward the vacuum cleaner. From what I've heard that runs in the family. I can assure you he didn't get it from me.
